On July 1, 2014 Canada implemented new laws that regulate how we can
communicate electronically. It is in place to protect Canadians while ensuring
that businesses and organizations can continue to compete in the global marketplace.
As of July 1, 2017—the private right of action comes into force.
In order for Gilgal Christian Community to comply
with the new legislation, all Pastors and other Members need to ensure the following:
1. You have consent to send electronic messages.
2. You identify yourself by including your name and contact information at the bottom of every email.
3. You include an unsubscribe mechanism (Ex.Insert an unsubscribe Link or Button in the email) when sending out Newsletters and/or weekly updates.
