Credential Renewal for 2024
Greetings in Christ once again.
As you know positions of public trust, such as ministerial appointments, should be predicated on safety clearances through the regular issuance of a police check. Those engaged in working with youth, children, disabled persons, or seniors, should provide a vulnerable persons check. These are available from the local police.
During this year I am asking you, and all of our credential holders, to obtain a police check or, if possible, a vulnerable persons check. I am asking everyone to do this, even if you have credentials with another organization. (If you have provided a police check to our office with a ministerial credential application within the last year, then you are exempt.)
The police checks must be done in person so this is not something that our office can facilitate for you. We have about nine months, until the end of November when we usually send out our new credentials.
