Kingdom Builders’ Awards
This year we have been pleased to present the Kingdom Builders’ Award for excellence in soul winning
and kingdom building. A benefactor who wishes to remain anonymous will be donating to this yearly award.
At the 2018 Church Planter’s Appreciation Banquet this year we gave two awards of $500 to two churches
which have excelled in evangelism in the last year.
City Revival Church had an outstanding public rally with about 400 attending at the end of 2017 and will be holding another such event for outreach this year, again at Lamport Stadium in Toronto. Approximately 100 people came forward for prayer or to receive
Jesus Christ as Saviour.
The second award went to Shekinah Open Door Fellowship. Rev. Francis Karmaldar has been a tireless and effective personal “market place” evangelist, speaking to people at his job at the airport and leading dozens of people to accept Jesus Christ.

Moving Forward.
Church Planters qualify in the year immediately preceding when they attend their first (annual) Church Planter’s Appreciation Banquet. They also qualify to receive the Kingdom Builder’s award in the following year (in the period from banquet to banquet). The idea is to give every church planter the opportunity to have at least one one-year period.
Starting in 2019 (in time for the 2019 Church Planter’s Appreciation Banquet) the scope of the Award will be different. There will be a first place award of $500, a second place award of $300, and a third place award of $200.
Awards will be given based on a written report which will outline three important factors. Each of these factors will be judged and given a “percentage of importance” value based on the following three criteria.
First, 25% of the value will be given to the planning that went in to the evangelistic program itself. We will evaluate how the need was assessed, the strategy, and the program or execution itself.
Second, 40% will be given to the number of first time commitments that were made. This is not just a numbers issue. Responses in evangelism are generally tied to the commitment of teams, prayer, actual outreach, and personal relationships formed, so all are important to this process.
Third, 35% of the percentage of importance will be recognized in Conversion and Retention, specifically in the area of discipleship. We want to know about this. What is the process? Do people attend? Are they being retained in your or any other community.
We will be coaching and giving more information about this during the upcoming year.
